George Huguely and Yeardley Love were a senior couple at the University of Virginia. They were both great students and athletes with a good future ahead of them, sounds like a perfect couple right? Well on a Monday morning after Yeardley broke up with George; George broke down Yeardley's door and smashed her head against the wall over and over again until she died. When Georges friends, family, and the University of Virginia found out they were shocked. They never thought George would do something like that. Domestic violence doesn’t occur out of the blue in a vacuum. There are almost always warning signs (Dr. Dale Archer). In Georges case there were warning signs. George was involved with the police on three separate occasions, underage drinking, a public confrontation with his father, and public intoxication in which he also threatened to kill the officer and physically assaulted her. A friend of his stated that he gets violent when he is drunk. George and Yeardley would get into angry disputes which had to be broken up by friends. The night before her death he was seen breaking bottles threatening to get her back.
Dr. Dale Archer made a great point, "domestic violence doesn’t occur out of the blue in a vacuum. There are almost always warning signs." Most people just keep it hush because it is not their problem or they do not want to see the evil in the world. Dr. Archer also includes some statistics about abuse: 25% of women have been a victim of intimate partner violence. Almost 5 million assaults occur each year, less than 20% of assaulted women report the abuse or seek treatment for an injury. Over 1,000 women a year are killed by an intimate partner. Dr. Archer concludes, "That’s why education is so crucial. In the end domestic violence thrives only because we as a society turn a blind eye and prefer to believe it doesn’t exist. By shining a light on this dirty, little talked about secret, we can make a difference."
This article really opens your eyes to whats going on around you. Domestic violence is becoming a bigger issue, it can be the "Red flag," that Dr. Archer was talking about. The person who is acting abusively obviously does not think what he is doing wrong, and if they know it is wrong, then that is even a bigger problem. Dr. Archer did a good job explaining his view. He used the perfect story to show what red flags to look for when it comes to domestic violence and how people are so blind to the subject. It is hard to admit that your son, daughter, or best friend is abusive, but what if it was your friend who was killed?

CRAAP
I used "Creation science evangelism's" website to find the article "Evolution: Miracle of miracles." Creation science evangelism began in 1989 with the purpose to inform people on the facts about creation, evolution, and dinosaurs. This site has articles from the most requested speakers on creation, evolution, and dinosaurs.
I chose this article because it gives another reason as to why evolution is considered a religion. This is a great website for those who want to have a better understanding of science. The two main guys are Dr. Kent Hovand and Mr. Eric Hovand. Dr. Hovand has his Ph.D in education. You can look up their biography's on their site. You can also contact them by email, phone, fax, or address.

Clash of Religions
No one observed evolution so therefore to believe in evolution you must have faith that it happened. In order to eliminate the arguments that the educational system does not want in their classrooms, the school board should remove the teachings of evolution from biology class.

Nobama
I believe the world would be a better place without Obama. One reason is that he is pushing socialism into America. His stupid health care plan is an example of that. Buy pushing his health care plan he is taking our choice of picking which insurance we want. 35 states are already drafting law suits against Obama if his health care plan passes. 2 states already have law suits. And why would he spend more money on a health care plan that no one wants when we are in debt. He is also cutting back the funds for the military. We wont have the amount of weapons we will need if there is another terrorist attack. While all the other countries are building up their military we will lose ours.
Without Obama the world would be a safer place. We could use the money that is going towards the health care plan and use it to start getting out of debt. Girls could get breast exams at a younger age. Strengthening their chance of recovering because they will be able to find the cancer sooner. America would also have a strong military to protect Americans from possible terrorist attacks.
I believe that American citizens should have more power than the government to protect us from dictatorship, the way the Constitution was made. We live in a great country and I want to keep it that way. And Obama is trying to take that away from us. America has some things to work on but we have it extremely good compared to every other country. Why else would citizens from other countries risk their lives to come live here?

Research topics
Evolution: Evolution contradicts the Bible, you can not believe in both. There is separation between Church and state, so evolution being taught in schools is wrong. Evolution is missing observation from the scientific method. No one observed evolution so therefore to believe in evolution you must have faith that it happened.
Abortion: Aborting a child is murder because that child is a life. If you say that it is your choice to not have the child then that's the same as a person pulling out a gun and saying its my choice to kill you. That child has a purpose in this world.
Affirmative action: Affirmative action is supposed to make sure that employers were not hiring people because of race, gender, disabilities, etc. When hiring someone, no matter their race, gender, etc, it should come down to qualifications. I am tired of hearing people complain because they cant get a job and say its cause of their race or gender. It took me months to get a job and I'm a clean cut white girl. It has nothing to do with race.
Racism: Everything comes down to racism. You can't say anything without offending someone anymore. You can't hide the fact of who you are race wise unless your Michael Jackson.

Working together
In "Runaway Jury," there are three sides that I have noticed. Pro gun, anti gun, and the couple who are trying to sell the jury by giving a verdict. I think that the gun trial is not the main part of the story. I think it is the message that the couple gave both lawyers. I think that both lawyers are going to work together to get the couple off their case so that the other side does not win. I think this because the anti gun lawyers saw the leader of the pro gun side spying on the jury.

The Princess in me
Belle, from "Beauty and the Beast," and I are very similar besides the fact that we live in different dimensional worlds. We both show that you do not need to be royalty to be a princess. All girls are princesses. Even if you live in tiny old attics, even if you dress in rags, or aren't very pretty, or smart, or young. Your still a princess.
One of our similarities would be our hobbies. We both love to read, especially romance novels. What girl doesn't? Any book with adventure, sword fights, spells, and princes in disguise. The only difference here is that I like to read more of a fantasy romance such as "Twilight" or "Wicked Lovely," and she reads the typical girl falls in love with a farm boy or prince. Not a vampire or fairy. We also love to read the same books more than once. Another hobby that we have in common is singing. I sing everywhere, in the car, shower, around my house, and sometimes at work. Belle sings walking around town, and in the beasts castle. Wherever we are we like to sing. Except when I sing I make sure no one can hear me. Belle doesn't care if anyone hears her sing. And I don't sing like I'm in a musical. I just sing random songs that I like, typically country songs. Belle makes up songs which is incredibly talented, I don't do that.

True Images Girl
If I had to create a bumper sticker that modeled my philosophy for life, it would be "True Images Girl." Being a true images girl means showing patience, leadership, love and a godly attitude. This slogan is not only who I am but who I want to be.
